Pepe and City
Re: Pepe and City
Will be surprised if Doku is at City next season. Utter garbage. No end product, far too predictable, lack of in-game intelligence. All the signs of the Nsoforian triad.

Re: Pepe and City
Kudus, 80 large. Interesting.
Re: Pepe and City
Losing 9 out of 13 Games must be a first for any top manager.
That will be out of a possible 39 points, Pepe has 12 points!
Yes there are injuries BUT the players on the pitch and bench are clearly worth more than other premier league teams.
So what really is the problem?

Re: Pepe and City
For some, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Walker, age has hit them with the force of a hurricane. Injuries have taken their pound of flesh out of the responsive of John Stones and Nathan Ake. At one point yesterday vs Everton, the latter looked like the second coming of Phillipe Senderos, in a foot race with Calvert-Lewin. Add to that a gluttony of players who simply aren’t good enough to replace the impact of their predecessors. Doku, as Adama Traore as Traore himself. Savinho, nowhere near ready. Grealish, flattered only to deceive. Gvardiol, not nearly tough enough to play centre-half and too slow for left-back.
The average age of the competition has reduced, whilst City’s has increased, both in years and mileage.
vs Everton, the malaise was obvious for all. Some can’t run, some can’t be bothered to. Apply a bit of pressure and they collapse like a leaning tower of jenga bricks with the centre piece removed.
Guardiola must oversee a rebuild that clears out the old, brings in the new and adds Premier League pedigree rather than fingers crossed hopefuls.
To think how much Kingdom would Guardiola give up for Kalvin Phillips now? Famed for his small, tight knit squads, he is paying the penalty for running them into the ground. They will hold beatings, brutal beatings, before the season’s end.
There’s a sense of deja vu about City’s season, think Klopp BVB 2015. Flirting with relegation at one point, then a restoration of form and run of results to secure a 7th placed finish. City will have to invest in January, they need bodies, a few loan deals would not be surprising.
More effort on integrating the cherries picked from their EDS would serve them well too. With Haaland now walking more and more miles in boots lacking confidence, the decision to sell Alvarez and not bring in a backup looks all the more ludicrous. Liam Delap, who it would come as no surprise were City to exercise their buy-back clause, was perfect fodder and quickly dispensed without chance and opportunity. In come the Dokus and Savinhos, YouTube footballers with zero end-product at a time when produce is desperately desired. Madness.

“Winger” Doku, dropped.
Re: Pepe and City
City are an absolute mess. Hanging on vs Van NistelRooney’s toothless Foxes. Pathetic. Erling Efan Ekokland did not find that first-half easy peasy. At all. If they fail to get three points here, they’ll struggle to finish in the top ten this season. Pathetic.
Re: Pepe and City
Guardiola must be losing his faculties. How is he watching such lethargy and not pulling up the daisies. So many spent forces. He only has himself to blame. Continuously rolling out these “won it alls” who can’t be asked. If Leicester equalise they’ll go on and win it.
Re: Pepe and City
Get Pat Daka on to run them down. Has a brace in him. Easy peasy.
Re: Pepe and City
James McAtee showing some interest. Loses his man, fizzes it into De Bruyne and from there onto Ekoku’s head via Savinho. Guardiola has had McAtee available throughout this crisis and chose to play a decorticate Adama Doku. Self-inflicted.

He was also playing Nunes on the wings. McAtee needs to run for dear life next week and not be deceived. Ultimately, when they go into the Mecato, Guardiola is going to return him to the stands.

Congrats to Pepr for defeating Leicester.
Leicester should be relegated immediately for losing to Man City

Re: Pepe and City
The irony is, Leicester’s xG was not much below City’s. With old man Vardy and a Championship midfield, they opened them up more than once. City are finished. This is by no means a turned corner. They’ll take 4 or 5 in the coming weeks.

Re: Pepe and City
The bigger irony is Arsenal has not won the league in 22 years and their fans are more interested in a team that has won 4 in a row. How dense can a fanbase be?

Re: Pepe and City
Leicester 0 - Man City 2. Tale of the tape:
- LCFC more possession
- LCFC more passes
- LCFC more passing accuracy
- LCFC more 1 vs 1 chances
- LCFC hit wood work twice
- xG 1.33 vs 1.75
Granted Leicester lost but the statistics are damning. City are finished. Heavy-legged old fogeys and utter defensive incompetence in Josko Joke Gvardiol. The latter must be well-ranked for unforced errors. Mind boggling how casually he gives away the ball. Moving him to left back was thought to reduce the tendency to error, absolutely not. If this is the rock Mancunia is built, the castle will tumble down completely in the coming weeks.
It hasn’t even begun.

Re: McAtee
City’s elite development squad has been all conquering for a couple of seasons, from Cole Palmer to Liam Delap to McAtee, how many must they lose? Guardiola’s idealism, as innovative and imperial as it has been in its pomp, has been reckless in its forfeiture of home-grown talent.
McAtee should’ve been given minutes during this period. In the space of 5, he showed himself to be more cerebral than Jeremy YouTube Doku. The work ethic is an absolute no-contest.
Agree, Guardiola will raid the transfer window, pick up a few Spaniards and something from the last of the Bavarian Xmas market and suffer the same again. Gvardiol, Doku, Savinho, either not good enough or nowhere near ready.

Adama Doku, dropped. Writings on the wall. Surely this is the last stand of Lopetegui, 4-zip vs the old fogeys. Pathetic.

City back? Not this season.
