Of all the post-SAF managers, ETH made the worst transfer decisions. Onana, Antony, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Weghorst - all signed at his insistence (and he also tried to sign Arnautovic - whose claim to fame was once playing in the Netherlands , and for Stoke City). Then he also got rid of De Gea, Ronaldo, Cavani, and AWB. ETH had a terrible eye for spotting good players. His transfer strategy consisted entirely of trying to turn Manchester United into an Ajax reunion.
