It's equal economic opportunity now. The Bible was written in ancient times and the rule does not apply today about who's the provider or what not. Most women are in the work force and many are earning more than men. It is not wise for lower income man to support a woman who earns twice his salary, while the woman just keep her money and spend the man's. It doesn't make any sense one bit. It's equal opportunity these days.
